M'Zungu

M'zungu is a crazed comedy about the only white guy in a West African town getting mistaken for Jesus, and through a series of misadventures ending up in sole charge of a newborn baby - all on Christmas Day.
The crazy part is that it's a true story, and the actor playing the lead is the guy it all happened to. Nonprofessional actors throughout the film meant keeping continuity was a challenge, and the true-life nature of the material meant some care was required to help the narrative into as conventional a shape as possible.
M'zungu is the local term for a slightly confused white man.
